My purpose is to provide some thoughts on becoming a gentleman and on choosing a life partner.  I will be writing from the vantage point of a gentleman of the old school.

I hope the headline for this blog post got your attention because those two statements are true.  Now, why is that?  Because choosing the right woman for your wife allows everything else to fall into place.  When two people who are genuinely right for one another come together in a marriage, they can create an incredible synergy.  One and one are no longer two, but something far greater.  The synergy creates a multiplier effect, which is fascinating to watch and difficult to comprehend.  An individual can never be as powerful as two people who believe in one another and who work together as a team.

I believe we make two critical decisions in our lives, whom we marry, and what we choose as our career. These decisions affect everything we do in our lives and our ultimate happiness.  Unfortunately, many individuals do not recognize the importance of these two decisions.  Moreover, our society, our schools, and our communities ignore these issues and do not help with informed decision-making in these two crucial areas of life.  Some wag once remarked that many people spend more time choosing a refrigerator than they do in choosing a husband or wife or in choosing a career.

I want to offer one caveat.  This blog is not a guide on how to pick up a woman or how to seduce women.    I will also add that this blog is not politically correct. Nor, does it accord with “mainstream thinking,” whatever that is.  Be that as it may, I will be writing this blog from a more traditionalist point of view.  I have taken this tack because I believe that men and women have lost their way in our society when it comes to relationships, love, and marriage.  This blog is my small contribution to assist in this most critical aspect of life.  I hope you enjoy the journey.
