Become A Gentleman Or Lady As Quickly As You Can

Length: 379 Words     Reading Time: 1 Minute + 30 Seconds

Ladies and gentlemen are few and far between when I survey the world we live in today.  America has become too casual, too sloppy, and too coarse, in my opinion. Most people do not understand what it means to be a gentleman or a lady.  Somehow along the way, we, as a society, have decided that being a gentleman or a lady is old-fashioned, or, in the parlance of the young people today, not very cool.  I would submit that they are wrong.  Being a real gentleman or a lady brings value to everyday life, discourse, and relationships.

There are many aspects to becoming a lady or a gentleman. These aspects include how we dress, how we eat, how we speak, and how we respond to and treat other individuals, to name just a few that come readily to mind.

In years past, young people used parents, relatives, and other adults as role models, and in some cases, movie stars and professional athletes. Those avenues do not seem to be available today for many reasons.  So, young men and women have to resort to books on manners and etiquette. Many books are available on Amazon or from the public library, and they are quite comprehensive. Fortunately, the subject is not a complicated one, and the requirements of becoming a gentleman or a lady are easy to understand and to put into practice.

Here is my advice to any male or female between the ages of 15 and 35, learn to become a lady or gentleman as quickly as you can. I can guarantee your life, your relationships, and your career will be the better for it. You will stand out as a compassionate, caring, and kind individual who understands how important it is to be respectful to all other human beings.

Becoming a lady or gentlemen is a critical element in returning to a culture that served America well in past decades. I have to agree with a quote from Jim Rohn, one of the thought leaders in the world of personal development. He said that “Casualness leads to casualties.” His remark applies to much of what we see in America today. You can change that by becoming a lady or a gentleman. I invite you on that journey.
