Life is not about being right. It is really about doing the right thing. All the time, every time.
This message makes eminent sense in all circumstances, yet it is violated so often in everyday life that it is downright scary. I have so many friends and acquaintances who would rather be right than happy. They want to defend their ego at all costs. Why this is so is beyond my ken? I truly wish it were otherwise.
I am a collector of motivational, inspirational, and educational quotes from all sources: writers, thought leaders, ancient and modern philosophers, and street-smart wise guys. I have found that the source of truth is unimportant. All that matters is that it is the truth. I want to share with you two quotes that exemplify what I have written above.
Two Extremely Important Life Quotes
The first quote is from Margaret Thatcher, who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1979 to 1990. She had the occasion to give some advice to Newt Gingrich, who was then-Speaker of the House for the U.S. House of Represenatives. Ms. Thatcher told Mr. Gingrich, “Always do what is right, and history will catch up to you.”
The second quote is from Viktor Frankl, who was a Holocaust survivor and author of “Man’s Search for Meaning.” He wrote: “So live as if you were living already for the second time and as if you had acted the first time as wrongly as you are about to act now.”
I wish everyone could have that second quote tattooed on their left arm for easy reference. No telling how that would change our world for the better.
A Simple Call to Action
If you had to choose one sentence to guide the rest of your life, I submit you could do no better than Viktor Frankl’s most extraordinary guidance. Why not give it a try?

Thank you for contacting me. I built my two websites with the help of the BlueHost technical team, Blue Sky; I am planning to launch three more when I have time and money. BlueSky is excellent. WhiteBeardWisdom.com, my blogging website, took me about two months to build. I could not have done it without BlueSky. TheAsianAntiquarian.com took me about two weeks. TAA is an e-commerce site to market and sell my Asian antiques and collectibles.
For both sites, I used OceanWP for the theme and I used Elementor to build the functionality.
