The Big Six Is the Most Effective Daily Tool for Accomplishing Priority Items

Length: 226 Words Reading Time: 1 Minute

The Big Six is the daily application of the 80/20 Rule. Every evening or every morning, write on a 3″ X 5″ index card the six most important tasks or actions you must accomplish the next day or that day.  These tasks can be business decisions, personal matters, exercise appointments, or family events.  Prepare your index card and carry it on your person in a pocket or purse.  Refer to it often to remind you to take action.  Every time you complete one of your priority items, place a checkmark by it.  Priority items that do not get accomplished can be added to the card for the next day.  Retain the completed index cards in a small file box for future reference.

Do the Big Six every day consistently.  This practice is one discipline that will dramatically increase your performance and effectiveness on the job and in your personal life.
