A traditional America versus a radicalized America is really the choice before us.  And a fateful and momentous choice it is.

An Election Like No Other 

The election on November 3 is not about President Trump versus former Vice President Joe Biden.  It is not about the Democrats versus the Republicans, or the lesser of two evils, or the good guys versus the bad guys.  This election goes far beyond all those trite descriptions.

Many talking heads and pundits on both sides of the political spectrum have opined that this election is the most consequential in recent history.  I would have to agree.  The decision before us is a most serious one and is not to be taken lightly.

The essence of the November election, in reality, is about whether We the People want to hold fast to a traditional America with its heritage of personal freedom and self-government supported by the Bill of Rights and other elements of our Constitution.  Or, do we want to erase all that has gone before and discard the most quintessential experiment in self-government in the history of the world and choose a socialistic society and, perhaps, even a totalitarian one.  If we choose socialism or communism, then, in my opinion, we have lost America, and we will never get it back.

I, for one, have been much grieved by what I have seen in our country since I returned from working in Saudi Arabia for almost 25 years, nearly a quarter-century of our nation’s life span.  I have seen changes in America that have astonished me.  Many of these changes have been positive and quite extraordinary.  However, so many others are beyond horrific with the dumbing down of our educational system, the coarsening of our culture, and the degradation of our standards of morality.  We have to reverse those changes.  They are not inevitable.

A Clarion Call To Action

I encourage all citizens to think carefully about this election.  Vote wisely and vote as if the lives of your children, your grandchildren, and your great-grandchildren depend on it, because it does.
