The purpose of this blog is to understand and interpret the very real consequences of various ideas that arise in a free society, consequences that are both intended and unintended.  Ideas emerge from all sides of the political spectrum; however, we often forget to ask three very important questions, among others, when these ideas emerge: Who is promoting these ideas?  Why are these ideas being promoted?  What are the long-term consequences of these ideas?

I have created the title of this blog by reversing the words in the title of one of my favorite books, “Ideas Have Consequences”, written by Richard M. Weaver and published in 1948.
